Before you get started, remember that not just any scanner works to deposit checks! In order to meet federal standards, a scanner must be able to read the numbers printed in magnetic ink at the bottom of a check and most of the ones that you can buy "off the shelf" can't do that.
We offer several products that work with our system. Whether you handle dozens of checks a day or hundreds, we've got the right equipment for you. If you're not sure which scanner is right for you, Contact Us and we'll find one to match your needs. For banks and resellers, discounted pricing is available for large orders.
The TellerScan 230 by Digital Check can scan at 35, 65 or 100 documents per minute, with both lower-speed models upgradable to 100 documents per minutes. A continuous-feed feature lets you add checks
to the hopper while a current batch is scanned. Max speed: 100 checks/minute
The EC7000i features a two-sided, horizontal-feed system similar in feel to many point-of-sale systems seen at retail cash registers. It is suited for businesses and billers that process a low to medium volume of checks. Manufactured by the RDM Corporation, the scanner can also frank checks with a physical mark once they've been read.
If you handle a large number of checks on a daily basis, you may wish to consider a high-speed check scanner with an automatic hopper feeding mechanism. The Panini
My Vision X30 can read up to 30 checks per minute; models with speeds up to 60 or 90 documents per minute are available by special order.
